Twist in the WC: NMNM cancelled next week, rescheduling in progress
The Cross-Country World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě is finally cancelled for next week. During Friday afternoon Czech Ski & Snowboard accepted a decision from Ministry of Health concerning a dispensation to organize events so that abroad skiers would not be obliged to keep 5-days quarantine. However, the situation was shortly twisted by news from Germany that is hosting the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships from 25th February to 7th March.
Gold within reach. Beranová finished fifth because of fall down
Tereza Beranová almost grabbed the title of U23 world champion. In finals Sprint C in Vuokatti (FIN) she was approaching a gold medal, however, in finish she competed with Russian rival and fell down. Finally, she ranked 5th. Another Czech skier Ondřej Černý also reached top 10 when finishing at 7th place.
Šeller and Novák almost grabbed medals
Czech cross-country skiers had amazing success within reach. In team sprint in WC Ulricehamn a duo Luděk Šeller – Michal Novák run for fantastic 4th place when losing only two hundredths of second. Kateřina Razýmová and Kateřina Janatová also reached great success when finishing at 6th spot
Czech skiers’ shape: four racers to get points in Ulricehamn race
Czech cross-country skiers are increasing their shape before the World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě. On Saturday four Czech skiers gained points in the World Cup Ulricehamn. Tereza Beranová and Michal Novák even squeezed in top 10 in Sprint F. The winners were Oskar Svensson and Maja Dahlqvist (both SWE).
Novák scored in Falun again
In the second race in Falun Czech skier Michal Novák finished at pointed position when ranking at 19th place in Sprint C. Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo (NOR) and Linn Svahn (SWE) were winners in their competitions.
Novák finished 15th in Falun
Cross-country skier Michal Novák reached his season´s best when in 15 km C finished at 15th place in Falun. Alexander Bolshunov (RUS) won again in spite of dealing with a fall down. Among women in 10 km C home Linn Svahn (SWE) dominated, Kateřina Razýmová (CZE) finished at 18th place.
