Michal Novák

(1996)

When and where did you start skiing and who brought you to it?

My parents encouraged me to skiing, especially my mum, who was once nominated to Czech national team. We used our home conditions in Krušné hory. I started to participate in competitions since I was 6.

What is your biggest success in your career?

2nd place U23 World Championship, 13th and 14th place at World Cup, 8th place Junior World Championship

Who is your Czech and foreign ski idol?

Lukáš Bauer and Petter Northug.

What other sports do you like to do?

I rode a cross country mountain bike at national level. Sometime back at junior age cross-country skiing fully won.

What is your most favourite skiing event?

Sprint, team sprint. If I succeed, it can be any competition.

How do you like to spend your free time?

I like technical issues and physics but sport totally engages almost all my free time and, in the rest, I have energy just for passive relax. I like spending time with my dog.

What would you like to achieve in your career?

To be a better skier than I am now.
